Firstly, I would like to start by thanking you for taking the time to read my latest article release – “February at a glance”
In this article, I want to cover how Excel TM Group performed through February and any company news that stands out for me.
If you had a chance to read my last article covering January and our first month as a business, you will know that it was a difficult time for the company and me personally. However, we bounced back and as promised February proved to be a busy and exciting month!
As usual, the company surpassed its expectations with regards to the campaigns we run and expected results. We successfully ran 2 new CPD Telemarketing campaigns in February and 1 new Supply Chain campaign.
Each of these campaigns had different daily targets and a different target audience. The reason I feel these campaigns worked so well and provided such fantastic and tangible results, was because we focussed on scheduling project-specific appointments and not just appointments where there was an interest. Having quality and understanding is fantastic in telemarketing, especially construction telemarketing, but delving deeper during a call and understanding what projects your prospects are working on, gives for a more meaningful appointment and ultimately a higher level of trust.
Moving on from the services we provide, and the results that we generated, we had some more exciting news which adds to all the hard work we are doing here…..
Excel TM Group joined the West Cheshire & North Wales Chamber of Commerce which gave us the chance to meet some wonderful new companies and potential prospects. I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank Adrian Standerwick for pointing me in the direction of this wonderful chamber. It was a great decision to make and one that has proved to be worthwhile already!
Through joining the Chamber of Commerce, the company also attended its first networking event which was hosted at Anfield – The home of Liverpool Football Club. At this event we were joined by Cheshire Phoenix Basketball Team and their all-star player Peter Jackson Cartwright, who is due to appear in a Netflix film very soon called At all costs. It’s also interesting to know that Basketball is the 5th most played sport in the world!
What a truly great networking event this turned out to be, we were able to meet more members and guests who didn’t necessarily work within construction but were able to share some advice and unique ways to move forward and develop the Excel TM Group brand! We are already looking forward to the next networking event.
To top February off we also brought on board our first official member of the team and keep it in the family – Will Dunn joined us as our marketing assistant! Will has worked with numerous online businesses and helped them grow in their unique way, this comes from him being open-minded and having fresh ideas to develop brand awareness. Will also has an exceptionally strong business development background and has experience when it comes to speaking with companies in construction, we can’t wait to see what he brings to the business!
March is looking to be just as strong, if not stronger than February! We have new telemarketing trials starting and campaigns which are carrying on, we also have several new business meetings to attend and more exciting news regarding our new offices. We will also be sitting down with Kevin Smith from ICB Waterproofing to record our first podcast and to top it off we are attending 4 construction expos throughout the month, Futurebuild, The RCI Show, The Concrete Show and The Home Build and Renovation show.
